Computer Basics

This is a novice computer basics six-week course designed to teach students, with very little to no knowledge of computers, their elementary use. The course includes: Parts of a computer (hardware), turning a computer on, logging into a computer, knowledge of various digital devices, connectivity/internet, keyboard skills, knowledge of computer applications, use of email and etiquette, common software used in business, searches and computer safety and other digital literacy foundations. This course is taught in English; however, English language development (ELD) and Spanish primary language support is provided to English language learners as needed. FREE CLASS

Business Technology I

This is a five-week class that teaches the following subjects as an introduction to business technology using Windows 10: Keyboarding, Internet, Email, Hardware and Software Types, Google Meet, Google Docs, File Management, Printing, Antivirus tips and Computer Vocabulary. We will create a Google Docs business letter project including a table. This course is taught in English; however, English language development for English language learners and Spanish support is provided as needed.

Business Technology II

This is a five-week in which each participant studies the program they need from the following: MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. When students have completed the assignments in each program, they can move on to the next. intermediate and up English level required (3 - 6).
