Adult school counselors are dedicated professionals committed to guiding and supporting adult learners in their academic pursuits, offering tailored support and guidance to achieve their personal, academic, and career aspirations. Adult school counselors provide comprehensive assistance, addressing individual needs, including personal and social-emotional issues, and facilitating the development of educational pathways aligned with the diverse goals of adult learners, fostering success in their academic and professional endeavors. Adult school counselors also assist with connecting adult learners to community resources and supporting them with the transition to college or career agencies.

Oxnard Adult School, in partnership with Oxnard College, is pleased to offer students access to a dedicated counselor who can provide expert guidance in a variety of areas. This includes help with enrolling at Oxnard College, developing an educational plan, transferring to a four-year university, and supporting AB 540/Undocumented students with their community college enrollment. The counselor can also guide students in selecting a major and navigating the application process for California State Universities, University of California, out-of-state schools, private institutions, and Dual Enrollment. Additionally, they can offer support with course selection and understanding the registration process. Dual Enrollment 

The Dual Enrollment program in California lets you take college courses at community colleges while enrolled in an adult education program.
